Do You Want to Join the TrueAchievements YouTube Team?

By Dave Horobin, 6 months ago
Ever since I became Social Manger here on TrueAchievements, I've received numerous messages from the community offering to help with the running of our official YouTube channel. Unfortunately, in the past we've never had a clear plan on what we'd like to do with the channel, but earlier this year we decided to look at ways in which we could make the best use of it.

Since then we've been working behind the scenes to add new site developments to help us showcase the channel's content, re-branded the old TA channel to include all of the sites within the TrueGaming Network family, tested different types of videos, and discussed how we can get more community members involved while at the same time maintaining similar quality and appearance between each video uploaded.

Thankfully, we are now at the stage where we can add more people to our new YouTube team, so that we can begin to add regular and unique content to our channel. If you'd like to get involved, please send your answers to the following questions to me, DaveKinetic, here on TA via PM.

1) What equipment and software do you have at your disposal to record and edit gameplay footage?

2) Would you be comfortable appearing in videos and/or recording voice-overs? Would you be willing to record voice-overs and/or appear in videos of gameplay that you hadn't recorded yourself?

3) Why do you want to join the YouTube team? What contributions would you bring to the team?

4) Are there any particular genres of game that you favour?

5) How often do you play new games within a week or two of release and/or betas?

6) With the channel being aimed at all three TGN sites, do you own any PlayStation consoles or play Steam games?

7) Have you recorded/edited any videos or recorded voice-overs previously? If so, where? Please submit examples if this applies to you.

8) Have you been on TT, TSA or TA site staff before? If so, please tell us a little bit about your experience.
Please send us your applications by no later than July 4th.

While this position is on a volunteer basis, successful applicants will receive free TA Pro and a fancy new staff badge for their profile page. We are also in the unique and advantageous position of being a highly respected site among the gaming community, and often receive preview codes, developer session invitations, and free early access to upcoming releases which members of the team will be offered to assist with their role.

Good luck to everyone that applies, and we look forward to being able to bring some amazing videos to the whole community soon!
