and its developer Motiga have had a heck of a journey. First the company laid off 16 employees
and delayed Gigantic's
release window from 2015 to 2016. Everything was quiet from December 2015 until around May. Things hit an upswing in May when Motiga partnered
with big-time publisher Perfect World Entertainment and announced the game was back on track. There are also a lot more competitors in the third-person MOBA genre than there used to be, like Battleborn
. Nonetheless, all these events have eventually culminated in a June 30th stress test, which will give players a chance to once again play the title.
If you'd like to partake in the stress test, be sure to sign up on Gigantic's official website
. In regards to how the process will work, Motiga says, "Our team will be selecting a group of players to participate and distribute codes on June 29th to allow players to pre-load the stress test build in order to jump in right when the servers go live!"
Despite the hectic journey, Motiga still says Gigantic
is scheduled for a 2016 release.
