System Shock Remastered Edition Reaches Kickstarter Goal

By Kelly Packard, 1 year ago
System Shock Remastered Edition, which just started its Kickstarter campaign a little over a week ago, reached its funding goal this morning.

Throughout the process, the game was backed by over 14,000 users and earned more than its $900,000 funding requirement. The campaign still has 19 days left to go for players still wishing to back the project to nab early supporter rewards like exclusive collector's editions, beta access, soundtracks and art books.

After exceeding half the goal in just the first 24 hours of going live, Jason Fader, Project Director, posted: "This has been a crazy 24 hours and we're already halfway there! The team was incredibly overwhelmed by your support and we truly appreciate it. You guys are awesome!"

Though System Shock Remastered currently has no release date, backers are expected to receive their rewards in December 2017, so we can expect the game's launch around that time.
