What can you give to a loyal guardian who has everything? In a live stream yesterday Bungie revealed that pre-orders of the Destiny
"Rise of Iron" expansion will be rewarded with an Iron Gjallarwing sparrow in addition to the Iron Gjallarhorn that was previously announced
The original Gjallarhorn was a beastly rocket launcher that could make or break a year one Destiny
player's chances of getting into a raid group, until Bungie decided to end the LFG discrimination by nerfing its mighty Wolfpack rounds. While year two content made most of us abandon rocket launchers in favour of machine guns, seasoned players were largely overjoyed at the announcement that a new version of Gjallarhorn would appear in the upcoming "Rise of Iron" expansion.
The Iron Gjallarwing sparrow clearly takes its design cues from the Iron Gjallarhorn, with a majestic appearance that is markedly different from any other sparrow in the Destiny
universe. The trailer suggests that Gjallarwing is a capable of tricks, and also shows it in action on what looks like a previously unseen SRL track.
The "Rise of Iron" expansion will launch on Xbox One on September 20th, 2016 and requires both the Destiny
base game and "The Taken King" expansion.
