It's been two years since there has been a game based on the popular TV show The Voice
; it looks like it's time for another one. No longer under Activision's belt, a new The Voice
title has been announced from publisher Bigben Interactive (think Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter
) and developed by Voxler, who is well-known in the karaoke game genre with titles like Let's Sing 2016
and Let's Sing and Dance
The game is officially licensed, meaning it will follow the format of the show including The Blind Auditions, The Battles and of course The Live Show. It boasts a "patented voice recognition system" that "judges the quality of player performances with unequaled precision, for both the accuracy of the notes and the rhythm."
The game is made in collaboration with ITV, the broadcaster of the show in the UK, so whether or not this will see a North American retail release is unclear (The Devil's Daughter
ran into distributing issues and has not made it North American retailers yet). According to Bigben The Voice
is currently scheduled for a November 2016 release in "several major territories."
