Prey for the Gods Funded

The upcoming survival game Prey for the Gods describes itself as a combination of Shadow of the Colossus, Deus Ex, DayZ and PS4's Bloodborne. That's quite a mix of gameplay. The hybrid recently reached its Kickstarter goal and will be coming to both consoles and PC in late 2017/early 2018.

Well hello thereWell hello there

In Prey for the Gods, you play as a "lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter." The game features massive boss battles where you can climb up the enemies (this is where it's remnant of Shadow of the Colossus), brutal survival gameplay in a chilling winter environment, exploration, a memorable soundtrack and more. The approach to the game is non-linear and you can address each situation however you please.

The project was backed by over 9,000 users and earned over $300,000 to support its development. The campaign still has nine days to go for players still hoping to snag some early-backer rewards like digital art books, beta access or their name in the credits. Backing anything over $25 will get you a copy of the game on the platform of your choice.

The devs have already shown off footage of the game successfully running on consoles. Prey for the Gods is expected to release on Steam in December 2017 with consoles including Xbox One to follow after.
