HITMAN Elusive Target #8 Arrives Friday, Fun Facts About the Busey Contract

How do you top a contract to assassinate Gary Busey? You probably can't, but Io-Interactive is trudging on with their live Elusive Target series nonetheless. Although the catch is still to complete the contract in only one try, the developers are trying their hand at additional objectives or twists. First there was The Twin, then there was Busey. Now in this week's Elusive Target, players must assassinate the target and steal the Ivory White, pictured below:

Elusive Target

As soon as you've done either of the two things, kill The Broker or grab the Ivory White, from that point on you won't be able to restart. You must finish both objectives to successfully complete the mission. The Broker is going to be located in Paris for 72 hours starting on August 5th. The target goes live at 5 a.m. PT/2 p.m. CEST. You can still download the HITMAN Companion App to receive a notification on your phone when it becomes available.

The reward for five successful Elusive Target completions is still the Hitman: Absolution Signature Suit. Since we are now approaching ten targets, perhaps soon we will hear about a reward for ten successful targets.

Last but not least, as promised we have some fun facts about the Gary Busey Elusive Target, provided of course by Io-Interactive. According to Io, Busey was by far the most popular target. A coincidental 47% more players tried their hand at the Busey contract than the second most popular Elusive Target (which was not named). The majority of assassins took him out in the usual just-shoot-'em fashion, in this case with a pistol or a sniper rifle. A couple of you got creative with the explosive golf ball and the brave — and brutal — among you went in for the kill with the circumcision knife. Ouch! Finally, only three percent of players boasted the rare Silent Assassin rating for completing the contract.
