88 Heroes Delayed - Dr H8 Claims Responsibility

By Lucy Wood, 1 year ago
Dr H8, mega-villain extraordinaire and antagonist of upcoming retro platformer 88 Heroes, has managed to delay the launch of the game. In this video announcement Dr H8 details his sabotage of the source code and expresses hope that it will be another 88 years before the game can launch. Meanwhile the developers are claiming simply to have held back the game for some final polishing.

88 Heroes was originally expected to launch on August 8th, the date that best fitted the general obsession with eights that pervades the game. The 88 playable heroes of the game will have just 88 minutes to clear all 88 levels and prevent Dr H8 from launching the 88 thermo-nuclear warheads he has pointed at Earth.

Bitmap Bureau has not yet confirmed a new release date for 88 Heroes, but promises to deliver the game by the end of the year.
