If you're a racing game fan who prefers the feel of a familiar steering wheel in your hands over a standard controller, you are in luck as Microsoft has just updated the backwards compatible versions of three Xbox 360 titles to support Xbox One racing wheels.
The three games are DiRT 3, DiRT Showdown and GRID 2. All three titles have been offered through the Games With Gold program at some point.
While it is perhaps a fairly niche group — gamers looking to play last-gen racing titles with Xbox One racing wheels — it does open up the floor for questions regarding other peripherals like music game accessories, fight sticks or even the Kinect, and if compatibility with Xbox One accessories could become a possibility for backwards compatible games in those genres. This is also the first time we've seen improvements and updates to a backwards compatible game as opposed to just making it play on the One exactly as it did on the 360.
