New Overwatch Map: Eichenwalde

By Kevin Tavore, 1 year ago
Yesterday we covered news of all of the season 2 changes in Overwatch: Origins Edition. With the beginning of Gamescom, we have more news today in the flavor of a new map called Eichenwalde.

If the name didn't clue you in, the map is set in Germany. Specifically, it's a deserted village with a castle. Of course, that castle needs to be stormed. This is a hybrid map like Numbani and King's Row.

Today's trailer offers a thorough look at the new map. Of particular interest are the destroyed Bastion models littering the ground outside and a still (dead?) figure sitting on the throne who looks an awful lot like Reinhardt.

Eichenwalde will release in September and will be available for free.
