What are you afraid of? As an adult, probably not so much. A child, however, may answer the question differently. In Tarsier Studios' Little Nightmares
, our yellow raincoat-clad protagonist Six has quite a lot to fear.
She's stuck on a haunted ship called The Maw, a fitting name since the corrupted souls that haunt it have an insatiable hunger to fill. They're trying to fill that hunger... with Six! Are the happenings of Little Nightmares
real, or are they in Six's imagination? According to the developers, it's not all bad and some parts of the game are quite whimsical, describing it as "part dream, part nightmare."
Gamers are getting their first taste of Little Nightmares
right now at its booth on the Gamescom show floor. As for the rest of us, we'll have to wait until the game launches in 2017.
