Voxel Adventure Riverbond Headed to Consoles in 2017

Toronto-based studio Cococucumber has announced their intentions to bring voxel action-adventure game Riverbond to PC and consoles. The studio previously had critical success with 2D platformer Planet of the Eyes on Steam, and while the core theme of exploring an unknown world remains the same, this time the adventure will take place in a pretty, blocky and isometric environment.

Riverbond 9

Embark on a journey down an enchanted river to explore an ever-shifting landscape, uncover the truth of a collapsing world, and rebuild the passage that once served as the path between life, death and the great beyond.

You can check out the charming animation and dreamy synth soundtrack in the below trailer.

Cococucumber are planning on taking a playable demo along to PAX Rising @ PAX West at the beginning of next month. There is no news on specific consoles or release dates yet, but we do know that the game is due to arrive at some point in 2017.
