Jotun: Valhalla Edition Dated for September

A console version of the PC title Jotun was announced just about five months ago. The game is a passion project for its developers, including William Dubé, Creative Director of Thunder Lotus Games. Over two years ago, Dubé quit his job as a mobile game designer to launch Jotun's Kickstarter. What happened next was a surprising success. The game topped its initial funding goal of $50,000 CAD to get it off the ground. Backers were especially drawn in by Jotun's hand-drawn visuals.

Fast forward to September 2016, and Jotun will finally be coming to consoles in the form of Jotun: Valhalla Edition. The original Jotun tells the tale of Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death, and must prove herself worthy to enter Valhalla, a great hall where fallen warriors reside.

Jotun: Valhalla Editon

To redeem herself, Thora is tasked with felling five epic jotuns, which are giant Norse elemental creatures. Thora's tale is told in traditional action-adventure style over nine levels, featuring authentic Icelandic voice acting and a soundtrack full of original compositions created just for Jotun.

Valhalla Edition contains the bonus Valhalla Mode, which is a boss rush mode that will challenge players with harder versions of the jotuns faced in single player.

Jotun: Valhalla Edition is coming to Xbox One on September 9th.
