Joust Now Backwards Compatible By Kelly Packard, 25 Aug 2016 CommentsJoust, the XBLA version of a classic 80's arcade title, joined backwards compatibility today, Major Nelson announced via Twitter. As many of you may recall, Joust was removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace back in 2010 when it was pulled alongside several other Midway Arcade titles, including Robotron: 2084 and Paperboy. For players looking to beef up their XBLA collections, this could be joust what they are looking for (I'm sorry, that was terrible). There hasn't been any word on whether or not the other Midway titles will rise up from the dead alongside Joust, but as this isn't the first backwards compatibility game to return after a de-listing, this could spell good news for other older titles with expired licenses. For those of you looking to get it while it's hot, here is the link to the Joust store page, where it is priced at US$4.99.Backwards CompatibilityXbox 360XBLAXbox One Written by Kelly PackardIn a few descriptors: college student, longtime gamer, writer and junk food enthusiast.
