Pit people... assemble! The Behemoth, who are also the developers behind BattleBlock Theater and Castle Crashers, announced yesterday that the Xbox One Pit People beta will be running from September 8th-15th. If you signed up, check your e-mail; if you didn't, there is still time to do so.

If you had previously opted into the beta, e-mails letting participants know they were accepted already went out yesterday. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don't see it in your inbox, as that's where mine ended up. If you didn't sign up, fret not, as you can still do so any time before the beta's official start date on September 8th by using this form. Anyone accepted into the beta will receive their access code on the start date.

The Behemoth has also published a new trailer that shows off a little bit of everything in what they call their "fast-paced, turn-based, co-op adventure." Clips can be seen from single player, co-op and PVP modes:

In yesterday's blog post, The Behemoth also advised pit persons to keep a close eye out for Pit People news during PAX West, which will be ongoing from September 2nd-5th. Pit People doesn't have a release date yet, but maybe that will be the big news that we're supposed to be watching for.
