Verdun Delayed on Xbox One

World War I shooter, Verdun, has been delayed on Xbox One just before its imminent release. Announced in a thread on the game's Steam forum, no specific reason for the delay, nor a new release date, were given.

"In order to deliver you a true trench warfare experience we need a little more time," the explanation reads. "We take our releases seriously and for this reason made a difficult decision to delay the Xbox One release." Verdun is also scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, August 30th, which is the same date the Xbox One version was slated for.

Verdun has been available on Steam since 2015, and holds a "Very Positive" rating across over 15,000 user reviews. The multiplayer first-person shooter puts players into the infamous trenches of the first World War, where some of the most grueling combat of the conflict took place. Check out the announcement trailer below for a refresher of what the game is all about.
