Windows 10 Versions of Upcoming Releases Now Pre-Orderable

If you're going to be a part of the first wave of gamers giving the PC aspect of "Play Anywhere" a try, you can finally pre-order the Windows 10 version of these games, according to an Xbox Wire blog post. Though I'm not sure if there's any difference since purchasing a digital copy of either version was always going to guarantee you a digital copy of the other one... nonetheless there is now a shiny new Windows 10 icon next to several upcoming releases in the store.

The first three titles to be available are, launching September 13th, Forza Horizon 3 (Win 10), available on September 27th, and Gears of War 4, available October 11th. Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4 both have early access options available for pre-ordering certain editions of the game.

With the launch of Play Anywhere quickly approaching, the gaming world is watching to see what will happen. Namely, is it actually going to work? New features launching with bugs isn't uncommon, and making all game saves, achievements and progress transferable sounds like an area where a lot can go wrong. If everything is running smoothly, this should be an exciting feature that gamers who spend a lot of time on both their PC and Xbox One can enjoy. We'll know for sure on September 13th when ReCore gamers take Play Anywhere out for a spin.
