Forget all the item builds, top gods and goddesses, and SMITE
information that you used to know — it's time for another new patch in the mythology-based MOBA. Maybe not that extreme, but 3.16 will bring many changes, including a new goddess, balancing tweaks, skins, changes to ranked and the Season Ticket, six achievements and more.

The big event is the new goddess, Izanami, the Matron of the Dead. She's a Hunter representing SMITE's
newest pantheon, Japanese mythology, which only includes a small handful of gods at the moment. With stealth, boomerang basic attacks and the ability to dish out loads of damage, there's a lot at play here.
Passive – Death Draws Nigh
The closer Izanami gets to death, the more powerful she becomes. Izanami gains 4% Physical Penetration for each 15% of her Health that is missing, up to a maximum of 20%.
For 6s, Izanami throws her kama sickles even faster and more furiously. While active, they no longer return to her but instead do 100% of her Basic Attack damage plus additional bonus damage. She may reactivate this ability to revert to her normal Basic Attacks.
Izanami sends forth a demonic visage of herself to strike down her enemies, damaging and Slowing all Enemies in a line. If an Enemy God is killed while slowed by this ability, future uses of the slow will be increased by 6% per kill up to twice, for a maximum of 30%.
Izanami descended into the underworld, becoming Stealthed, before leaping away from her current position. Firing a damaging Ability or Basic Attack breaks her Stealth.
Izanami summons a dark portal which Damages and Silences all Enemies in range.
In addition to Izanami and her Dark Matron recolor, the new skins include Griffindwarf Fafnir, which is the 16,000 point reward for the Season Ticket, Oktoberfest Nu Wa, Bun Bun Nox, Deathcap Sylvanus and Hoot 'n' Holler Bacchus, which was already available to be earned via the Camp Lazy Days promotion
The new achievements are similar in style to the most recent patches. They come as a bundle of six, three gods receiving two achievements each, and as a matter of fact the TrueAchievement scanners have already picked them up
in preparation for when the patch goes live. Like patch 3.15
, these won't break your back by requiring abnormal skill or incredible luck, and can be earned through regular play:
As Bastet, release 45 cats using your Ultimate in a single match.
As Bastet, deliver the killing blow to an enemy God in a single match with the damage from your cats.
The Cat Scratch achievement in SMITE worth 64 points"Unlock the Smite Award "Cat Scratch!"
As Kumba, root three or more enemy gods with one Groggy Strike.
The Stay There achievement in SMITE worth 37 points"Unlock the Smite Award "Stay There!"
As Kumba, kill an enemy God by bouncing a minion into them using Throwback.
The Down, Set, Gut achievement in SMITE worth 113 points"Unlock the Smite Award "Down, Set, Gut!"
As Chang’e, evade an enemy ability using Moonlight Waltz that would have hit you for 500 damage or more.
As Chang’e, send Jade to buy 10 Items in a single match.
The Jade, Go! achievement in SMITE worth 108 points"Unlock the Smite Award "Jade, Go!"
