Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Asks If You're a Runner or a Ghost Hunter

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2's release is so close you can almost eat it. Er, taste it. But you will be eating a lot of ghosts soon. Bandai Namco asks Pac-Man players in a new video to describe their playstyle. They way they see it, there are two basic types of players in Championship Edition 2: ghost hunters or runners.

Come here, ghosties, I don't bite. Wait... that's a lieCome here, ghosties, I don't bite. Wait... that's a lie

It's all done through video with pulsing beats instead of commentary, but near as I can tell, a player with a ghost hunter playstyle eats ghosts whenever they possibly can to increase their score. A runner, on the other hand, lets a huge chain of ghosts build up while they go only for the tiny yellow pac-dots. Then, once they've built up a huge chain, they'll cash in on their points.

Whether or not you buy into the "ghost hunters" and "runners" thing, at the very least, we get to see plenty of gameplay in the new video, which should help you decide if you're still on the fence about this one.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 releases on the Xbox One on September 13th.
