A New Overwatch Patch Fixes the Roadkill Achievement

By Gabriel Kreulen, 1 year ago
The free weekend for Overwatch: Origins Edition may be over, but there are still plenty of changes on the way. A new patch has been released to iron out the issues caused by the Eichenwalde patch. The most important fix (for the average community member here) is that the issue causing the Roadkill achievement to be temporarily unobtainable should now resolved.

The full patch notes are as follows:

General Updates
  • There should be less Plays of the Game featuring Mercy's Resurrect
  • The payload speed on Eichenwalde has been increased
User Interface Updates
  • A Competitive Tier legend has been added to the Competitive Play info screen
  • A new Match Complete screen has replaced the Round Complete screen in Competitive Play
General Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug preventing the Triple Kill announcement from being played at a multikill of 3 or more
  • Fixed several issues causing some players to get a higher skill rating than their actual skill rating
  • Note: A very small number of people were affected by these issues, but those affected had their skill ratings properly adjusted
Hero Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug causing either the wrong arrow or no arrow to be shown on Hanzos bow (the correct arrow would still be fired)
  • Fixed a bug preventing Junkrat's RIP-Tire from getting credit for kills, achievements or other stats (this caused the Roadkill achievement to be unobtainable)
Map Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug allowing Reaper to Shadow Step to unintended locations on Hollywood
The update which is approx. 230MB in size is available to download now.
