Bulletstorm Epic Edition Announced

By Michelle Balsan,
Epic announced today that its upcoming title Bulletstorm will have an "Epic Edition" available exclusively for the Xbox 360 at release.

The Epic Edition is set to come with a set of aesthetic upgrades to various in-game items such as boots, armor, and the Peace Maker Carbine. While the aesthetics won't affect the weapon in other ways, at least you'll be more recognizable in the game's multiplayer modes. The Epic Edition will also include 25,000 experience points so you can get a head start on those who get the regular edition of the title at release. Some information about Bulletstorm's multiplayer experience was detailed as well:

Bulletstorm’s insane Anarchy four-player online cooperative mode takes full advantage of the game’s unique skillshot gameplay and unlock/upgrade weapon system to deliver the best possible multiplayer experience within the Bulletstorm world. The combination of Bulletstorm’s multiplayer gameplay and skillshot system creates a frantic and frenzied experience setting itself apart from the multiplayer experiences in traditional shooter games.
Perhaps more exciting than the Bulletstorm content is the fact that the Epic Edition will give guaranteed access to the public beta for Gears of War 3.

It may not be the case for everyone, but early access to a Gears 3 public beta may have just turned Bulletstorm from a title which gamers are watching with interest into a must have title.

Bulletstorm will be available on Feb. 22, 2011 in North America and Feb. 25, 2011 in Europe for for the same price as the regular edition package. No further specifics were given as to when the Gears 3 beta will begin, however.
