Dark Souls III Ashes of Ariandel Gameplay Trailer

Launch DLC? No, no, not here. FromSoftware makes their players wait six months to get their hands on any more Dark Souls III content. Everything has been revealed at an agonizing pace — last month we got to see the cinematic trailer and artwork, today we get our first glimpse of icy "Ashes of Ariandel" gameplay... if we haven't died of anticipation, we'll actually get to play it next month.

Be warned, the video does have a disclaimer that it may contain spoilers. If you're reading into the story line and lore, like many of the commenters on our last post, you might want to sit this one out.

If you're not used to all the waiting yet, you'd better do so quickly, since "Ashes of Ariandel" is only expansion one of the two FromSoftware has promised for Dark Souls III. The second expansion, which we know nothing about, is scheduled for an early 2017 launch, almost a full year after the game's original April 2016 release.

Dark Souls III 1

"Ashes of Ariandel" will be available on October 25th at the price of US$14.99 or included with the season pass, which can be purchased for US$24.99 or bundled with Dark Souls III in the US$84.99 Deluxe Edition. The season pass also includes the upcoming second expansion.
