Rocket League Previews Underwater Arena

By Kelly Packard, 1 year ago
Psyonix is wasting no time moving Rocket League right along after this month's addition of Rumble mode. After the bright and bustling city of Neo Tokyo, it only makes sense to place the next new arena... underwater? Don't worry, you'll be in good company with the jellyfish and sharks:

Anyone else getting a BioShock vibe from that trailer? Must be the font...

The new arena is fittingly called the AquaDome. Psyonix says you'll be seeing it in every playlist, including competitive. The update will be accompanied with two underwater-themed cars sold as premium DLC: Triton, "a slick, futuristic ocean sub" and Proteus, "a more science-minded research vessel." The cars, which you can get a peek at in the above video, will cost you US$1.99 each.

The new dome, the DLC cars, and the accompanying update will be out in October. As always, the developers have promised to reveal more information in the weeks building up to its release.
