God Game Reus Dated for October

We have another "popular PC game finally makes its way to consoles" success story with Abbey Games' upcoming god game REUS. The development team has revealed the console release date alongside a launch trailer. In the game, players will choose one of four gods with which to lead a civilization. Keep the humans happy and you'll reap the reward of progress; make the humans upset or in need of resources and they'll be at war with their neighbors in the blink of an eye.

Bas Zalmstra, co-founder and Technical Lead of Abbey Games, expressed excitement at how the ports turned out:

The controller interface got a lot of attention, and you notice that. Playing Reus from the couch is a great and smooth experience! We are very happy with how the port turned out and we are very excited for Reus' PS4 and Xbox One release.

Collectors will also be pleased to know Reus will be accompanied by a physical release in some regions. Though it isn't available everywhere yet, listings have appeared on some websites like Amazon. No pricing was given by the publisher, but the Amazon listing shows the game at US$29.99. As is the custom these days, it will also be available in digital format.

Reus will be available on Xbox One on October 11th. If you'd like to see more details, videos and screenshots, check out our previous article here.
