If you're looking for that "The Lost and the Damned"
brotherhood feel, Grand Theft Auto V
's "Bikers" update (which we were introduced to
last month) is now live. To see what you'll be getting yourselves into with the new content, have a look at the launch trailer and screenshots.
The update added Bikers Clubs with up to eight players, complete with rankings from President all the way down and 12 clubhouses to make your base of operations. There are new seedy business opportunities, 13 new vehicles including the Nightblade, the three-wheeled Chimera and the Rat Bike, and biker-appropriate weapons like a battle axe, pool cue and pipe wrench — all easy to swing from the seat of your ride. There's also an automatic Sweeper Shotgun and an explosive Compact Grenade Launcher.
Of course there are new clothes and tattoos to match your new biker persona. You can also rep your club's logo on your clothing to show off your pride. The in-game emblem creator has received an update to make this smoother and simpler.
Be sure to check out the new adversary mode, Slipstream, which is already complete with seven different maps:
Stick together to hit checkpoints at the same time as teams of riders vie to be first over the finish line in Slipstream, the new Adversary Mode available today as part of GTA Online: Bikers. As teams jockey for lead position, taking full and clever advantage of the other players' slipstreams for speed boosts – and using well timed attacks to melee opponents off their bikes – can be vital in this contest to the bitter end. Seven maps are ready to race now.
To celebrate the launch of "Bikers," every player can enjoy some perks as a part of Bikers Bonus Week, which is running until October 10th. Though there aren't any bonuses to RP outside of the usual Premium Race, you can get a free white Western Logo Tee and Nagasaki Hoodie just for playing GTA Online (head over to any clothing store to grab yours). If you collect exclusive GTA t-shirts, you can also snag the Western Logo Tee in black for buying the new Nightblade. There are also in-game discounts on body armor, ammo, weapon tints and more.
If you're looking for the triple RP, the Premium Stunt Race is what you need. This week, it's naturally locked to motorcycle entries only. Trench I is the name of the course. It'll take you on an insane ride through a ten-mile tunnel in the middle of the Grand Senora Desert. Anyone who crosses the finish line will earn triple RP and, as always, there are generous GTA$ payouts for the first, second and third place finishers.
Also live with the new content was a general update and patch, featuring quality of life updates for everyone and some bug fixes. To see the detailed patch notes for Title Update 1.36, head on over to Rockstar's patch log
. The "Bikers" content and title update are already live in-game right now. As has been custom for some time regarding GTA patches, only the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V
received the update.
