Agent 47 bids adieu to the first episodic season of HITMAN
, which will culminate at the end of this month with a finale set in Hokkaido, Japan. It's been an extensive journey, one that took him across four continents, to cities both real and fictional, in six regularly-scheduled episodes and one bonus episode.
Hokkaido is one of Japan's islands. The destination is what Io-Interactive has previously said is one of their favorite types of locations to design — a hotel and resort. This one also happens to be a cutting-edge hospital. According to Io, they "thoroughly enjoy creating these wondrous assassination locations." Agent 47 will be tasked with a double-assassination in the finale at this serene resort, surrounded by hot springs, Zen gardens and organic restaurants.
The final mission will be called "Situs Inversus." A quick Google search tells us that this is "an uncommon condition in which the heart and other organs of the body are transposed through the sagittal plane to lie on the opposite (left or right) side from the usual," which fits right in with the medical theme of the episode.
Say hello to my little Silver Baller
"Episode Six: Hokkaido" will be out on October 31st. Although this is it for the first season, Hannes Seifert, Studio Head at Io-Interactive, describes the episodic structure as a "major success" and says that "this is only the beginning for our ever-expanding World of Assassination." Perhaps next time we bring you news about HITMAN
, it will be to announce Season Two.
