Earthlock: Festival of Magic to Receive Retail Release

By Kelly Packard,
If you didn't get a chance to pick up the September Games With Gold title Earthlock: Festival of Magic, or perhaps enjoyed it so much that you'd like a have a copy displayed upon your shelf, there is good news. Developer Snowcastle Games has teamed up with publisher SOEDESCO to bring a retail version to stores early next year.

The turn-based RPG launched on September 1st and did so directly into Xbox's Games With Gold program. Over 17,000 players on the site have tried it out since its inception. It holds a 3.6/5 star rating from user reviews.

SOEDESCO has helped other indie devs bring their creations to retail outlets, including N.E.R.O.: Nothing Ever Remains Obscure, Among the Sleep - Enhanced Edition, Ziggurat and, most recently, REUS. Most of the retail versions of these titles only graced the PS4 system, so it looks like SOEDESCO could be looking to change that trend with REUS and Earthlock.

Though not yet dated, the physical release is scheduled for early 2017.
