GTA Online: Deadline Offers Tron-Like Bikes and a New Adversary Mode

By Sam Quirke,
In your online travels around San Andreas in Grand Theft Auto V, have you caught yourself wondering, "Where is the Tron? This game needs more Tron."

No? Well, Rockstar has gone ahead and answered the question that you never asked with this update. Not only will you be able to purchase neon-and-black Nagasaki Shotaro bikes and don neon-and-black riding gear, you'll also be able to take out enemy bikes with your neon trail in a new Adversary mode named "Deadline".

TronNope. Not Tron. "Deadline". Completely different.

Deadline pits up to four players against another, each mounted on a different colored Shotaro, which emits a temporary light trail as you ride through the arena. Any competitor unfortunate enough to come in contact with said trail meets an instant explosion.

While battling competitors, you will be able to use power-ups in the form of boosts, time manipulation, and a hop over an enemy trail to your advantage. If you get involved with "Deadline" between now and November 21st, you can expect double GTA$ and RP for your efforts.

While the Deadline leathers can be purchased from any in-game clothing store, the Nagasaki tee that is sported in the image below is part of a limited-time offer when you purchase the bike itself.

Sticking with the general bike theme that is going on in GTA Online at the moment, the Premium stunt race "Over the Bridge" that is locked to Bikes will earn triple RP for all participants and a big cash payout for the top three finishers. This race, plus the below discounts, are active until November 21st:

  • Biker Businesses (Property) – 25% off
  • Karin Technical (Vehicle) – 25% off and the Heist completion requirement is waived
  • Savage (Vehicle) – 25% off and the Heist completion requirement is waived
  • MTL Brickade (Vehicle) – 50% off
  • Bullet Ammo – 25%
  • Throwables and Explosives – 25%
  • Body Armor – 25%
  • Drum & Box Magazines – 25%
As always, these updates only apply to the current-gen versions of GTA Online.
