Xbox Previews This Year's Black Friday Sale

By Kelly Packard, 1 year ago
For those of us who don't enjoy the rush of Black Friday at brick-and-mortar stores — camping outside, standing in line for three hours, the imminent possibility of being swept away by a stampede of crazed shoppers or beaten into a coma for grabbing the last copy of Gears of War 4 — we look to digital deals.

Xbox Black Friday Sale

Xbox will be hosting their own Black Friday sale starting on November 18th for Xbox Live Gold members. The sale will then open up to everyone on Tuesday, November 22nd. Finally, from Friday, November 25th to Monday, November 28th, there will be new and exclusive weekend deals to look to forward to.

While we don't know everything that's going to be featured, Major Nelson has provided a few details. The sale will include digital Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows 10 games, as well as TV shows and movies, if that's more up your alley.

  • Xbox Live Gold members get early access to the weeklong Black Friday deals on Nov. 18, and everyone has access from Nov. 22-28. Plus, check back for even more great deals that will run over the Black Friday weekend, from Nov. 25-28
  • Xbox Live Gold members also save up to 10% more on most sale titles, so go Gold to reap the benefits
  • Save big on the top blockbuster titles from Microsoft Studios that you can buy once and play on both Xbox One and Windows 10, including Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and ReCore, and, for these three titles, all customers can get the same great discounts
  • Get Windows 10 games, including Quantum Break, Rise of the Tomb Raider (Win 10), BATMAN – The Telltale Series (Win 10), Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition on sale
  • Get discounts on hit movies up to 40% off, including Lights Out, Now You See Me 2, and Goosebumps, today’s hit TV shows, including South Park and Orphan Black, up to 50% off, including movies as low as $7.99 and TV up to 50% off
While it's impossible to include them all here due to the international nature of our website, don't forget to check out your local retailers' ads for some sweet Xbox deals at stores, encompassing everything from games to consoles to accessories to Xbox Live memberships and more. Major Nelson has pointed out a handful of them here, though they appear to be for North American retailers.
