December's Games With Gold Announced

By Kelly Packard,
Next month's Games With Gold has everything: two games that start with "Out," a horror title that half of us probably bought in the Halloween sale, and one hotly-anticipated backwards compatibility title. Meet December 2016's Games With Gold lineup:

December 2016 Games With Gold

Starting on December 1st and continuing all month long, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to pick up on Xbox One, which should complete your Sleeping Dogs collection if you also picked up the Xbox 360 edition when it was free in January 2014.

From December 1st to 15th, players can also grab Outland, an Xbox Live Arcade title that had an Ikaruga-esque use of colors. As is standard with Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles, it can be played on Xbox One via the backwards compatibility program.

We then round out the middle of the month with horror title Outlast and racer Burnout Paradise. This means that sometime between now and December 16th when it goes Games With Gold, Burnout Paradise, which had previously confirmed to be in the works to become backwards compatible, will finally be playable on Xbox One (Update: since this article went live, Major Nelson has tweeted that it is in fact joining backwards compatibility today). Outlast will be available from December 16th to January 15th and Burnout Paradise will be available from December 16th until December 31st.

But all of this isn't until next month. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and forget to grab this month's titles! You still have until November 30th to redeem Super Dungeon Bros and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and until December 15th to pick up Murdered: Soul Suspect.
