Star Wars Battlefront Joins the Vault Next Week, Rogue One Patch Out Today

EA Access members have been waiting for Star Wars Battlefront to join the Vault, since, well, it launched late last year. Those patient players will finally be getting their wish, as the 2015 shooter hits the Vault on Tuesday, December 13th. This announcement was joined by the early access launch of Battlefront's final DLC expansion, "Rogue One Scarif."

"Rogue One: Scarif" dropped today for season pass holders and will be available to purchase for everyone else after its two-week exclusivity period ends on December 20th. You can check out the detailed patch notes for the update here that accompanied the launch of the DLC and the new achievements. There is also one title update achievement available to everyone regardless of DLC ownership, which can be found here. The main features of the DLC are as follows:

New Locations

  • Scarif Beach
  • Scarif Jungle
  • Landing Pad 13
  • Shield Gate

New Heroes

  • Jyn Erso
  • Orson Krennic

New Weapons

  • Jyn Erso's A180 Blaster Pistol
  • Orson Krennic's DT-29 Heavy Blaster

New Star Cards and Powerups

  • Sonic Imploder
  • TIE Striker Power-up
  • U-wing Power-up

New Game Mode

  • Infiltration

The patch and DLC are available to download now (though the DLC is only available to season pass holders for another two weeks, until December 20th). The date to watch out for Star Wars Battlefront in the EA Access Vault is December 13th. The release of the last DLC and the addition to the Vault are also accompanied by a price drop for the season pass, which is now going for US$29.99 as opposed to the launch price of US$49.99.
