Four Trailers And A Beta Announcement For For Honor

Following on from For Honor's fairly successful alpha a couple of months ago, Ubisoft have now announced a closed beta for the upcoming title scheduled for early next year.

For Honor Screen 8

Launching in January, this closed beta will allow players to clash in three areas: Ashfeld, Valkenheim and Myre. Alongside this launch, Ubisoft will also launch the "War Of The Factions". Tracking all manner of activity in the beta, this event will reward all those who participate in the beta with extra rewards going to those of the faction -- Vikings, Samurai or Knights -- that reigns supreme at the end.

While 12 heroes will be on offer in the beta, Ubisoft have focused on three alongside the beta announcement, heavy hitters Shugoki (Samurai) and Warlord (Viking) and the Peacekeeper (Knight), with a trailer for each.

Shugoki

Once the guardians of the Samurai, they have become as family. Massive and fierce, their weapon of choice is the kanabo, a huge stick that only they can wield efficiently. The Shugoki might not have the same agility as the other Samurai, but their rock-like resistance and demon-like strength make them an unavoidable force on the battlefield.
Warlord

Warlord is a name from an ancient Viking tradition, a name that is earned by only the true leaders in combat, those who are ready to spend their whole life servicing all who need it. Warlords’ shields are as versatile as they are strong and their sword, while simple in design, is sharp and deadly.
Peacekeeper

Selected from the desperate, the humbled or the devoted, they are sworn to secrecy by unbreakable oaths. Quick and lethal, they fight with a short sword in one hand and a dagger in the other. Peacekeepers are the deadliest duelists of all Assassins, capable of winning a fight before their enemy even knows they are here.
The multiplayer wasn't the only thing Ubisoft showed off however as they have released a trailer for the game's story mode that promises to show the player why these factions are at war.

For Honor is currently scheduled to launch on February 14th. Happy Valentine's Day.
