Xbox Previews the Countdown Sale

By Kelly Packard, 4 months ago
As we approach the end of the year, we welcome big sales on all of our favorite gaming platforms. Xbox's sale, Countdown, is due to start on Thursday. Promising more than 350 daily and weekly deals, discounts on more than 40+ backwards compatibility titles and more, Xbox is calling it "the biggest sale ever for the Xbox Store."

The sale starts on December 22nd and will be live almost three weeks until January 9th. The "get Gold for $1" promotion has also returned, so everyone can get in on the deeper discounts Gold members are eligible to receive. Starting on December 21st, gamers can take advantage of the US$1 month-long gold subscription. The sale is advertised as "up to 60% off," with Gold members eligible to receive an extra 10% off the already-discounted sale prices.

If you're using your Xbox as an all-in-one entertainment system instead of just a gaming device, TV and movies will not be left out of the sale, with films like Suicide Squad and Deadpool advertised to be available at a discount.
