Original Story:

Daybreak Games' free-to-play title DC Universe Online only arrived on the Xbox One in April last year, but for Steam users the game has been available since January 11th, 2011. The game's developer is celebrating the sixth anniversary of the title's Steam release with time limited in-game events that will bring together the Super Heroes and Super-Villains of the game.

The celebration will see the game's characters travel through time to a new version of Metropolis. Earth is under threat as a Qwardian invasion from the Antimatter Universe is taking place. To help to save the world from the dangerous situation, all characters taking part will be scaled to a higher combat rating that will allow players of "nearly all levels" to join in the fight.

Here's what the special Anti-Monitor anniversary event will include:

New Open World Missions: Metropolis Antimatter Invasion Zone

  • Level Required: 10. All players will be increased to their future Combat Rating of 230 as they travel through time to Qwardian Metropolis.
