Skara: The Blade Remains Open Alpha Trailer

By Lucy Wood,
Upcoming team fighting game Skara: The Blade Remains moves a step closer to an Xbox One release tomorrow with the launch of an Open Alpha on Steam.

The Open Alpha for Skara: The Blade Remains will kick off with the Cataclysm event, which lasts for the first 72 hours. The best players during this time will be incorporated into the game in a variety of ways including:
  • Players representing each culture will become protagonists of Skara: The Blade Remains and be immortalised in the official game lore.
  • Best plays will be compiled into videos.
  • Short story videos will be created based on player actions.
  • Best play compilations and short story videos will be shared in game and on social media.

The Open Alpha Build of Skara: The Blade Remains will feature some major changes to the playable hero Kharn including:
  • A new area attack which can be combined with other moves to form combo-chains.
  • An aggressive attack called Push replaces Kharn's defense ability.
  • The Unstoppable passive skill has been removed.
The Skara: The Blade Remains Open Alpha on Steam begins on Friday February 3rd, and an Xbox One release date is yet to be confirmed.

We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Skara: The Blade Remains achievements.
