Another game that will be arriving on WP7 is PES 2011
. Konami have announced that this will be a "bespoke" version created specifically for the "new range of mobiles":
The game gives the user total control over their selected team, offering passes, through-balls, neat inter-changes and blistering shots via a specially devised control system. The Windows Phone 7 version of the game also introduces the ‘true flow™’ system, which allows users to determine the level of control they use, either using AI-supported controls, or opting to use on-screen buttons to mimic those of a conventional joypad controller.
PES 2011 for Windows Phone 7 offers a wide range of competitions and tournaments, including the officially licensed UEFA Champions League™ and UEFA Europa League™ modes, while online connectivity is provided via online Leaderboards for the best players, and the ability to unlock Xbox LIVE achievements via the mobile game.
The Game Room
hub will also be making an appearance on WP7. Although the hub was not singled out for a specific mention in the speech, in-game footage was demonstrated from Centipede
, Shao Lin's Road
and Asteroids Deluxe
Other new games that will be arriving are:
• Full House Poker
• Parachute Panic
• Zombie Attack! 2
The trailer below shows (very) brief footage of all of the above games, as well as current games, such as Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles HD
, Fruit Ninja

Despite being launched only two months ago, there are currently over 5,500 applications available for the phone. Typically there are 100 new applications added every 24 hours. Over the next few months, Microsoft will be releasing a series of updates for WP7, including several improvements. One of the major improvements will be a significant performance enhancement when loading or switching between applications. The second major improvement mentioned in the speech is the addition of a copy and paste function.
Ballmer also announced that WP7 will soon be available on the Sprint and Verizon mobile networks. This is expected to be implemented in the first half of 2011.
