Today Psyonix released the "Hot Wheels" DLC for Rocket League along with its accompanying update. Along with the new DLC, an update has added more cosmetics and fixed two somewhat buggy achievements. Unfortunately, they're probably not the ones for which many players were hoping.
The patch added two new purchasable battle cars with the Twin Mill III and the Bone Shaker, available for US$1.99 each or your regional equivalent. Each comes with six decals and a set of exclusive wheels. A new crate has been added with the Player’s Choice Crate Series 1, which includes cosmetic items voted for by the community. There are also now several new Hot Wheels antennae and toppers to collect.
Also buried within the patch notes, which you can check out here, are fixes to two buggy achievements. The achievements were technically unlockable, but required quite a bit of workarounds for some users to unlock them; meanwhile, others were lucky enough to obtain them with no problem. Some were unlucky enough to not be able to get them at all:
While it's good to see fixes for two finicky achievements, the biggest and most serious offender as far as buggy Rocket League achievements go has gone without mention in this patch. The Battle of Heroes achievement has been unobtainable for almost six months for players who do not own a disc version of the game:
The patch is available to download for Rocket League now. As always, we'll be sure to let you know when we have any more information, especially regarding the Battle of Heroes achievement.
