By Rebecca Smith, 2 years ago
Now that all of the announcements are out of the way, lets look at all of the other news to creep out of the weekend. We have updates, release dates, trailers and screenshots to peruse.

Updates

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was updated to version 1.10. You can take a look at the patch notes below. In the meantime, season pass holders can also get their hands on a new weapon: the R-VN assault rifle. Non-Season Pass holders will be able to earn the base version of the rifle by getting 200 kills with another energy-based assault rifle like the R3K, Type-2 or Volk. Several weapons that had also only been available as part of the Quartermaster Collection can now be crafted from salvage, including the Reaver, Volk, Erad, DMR-1 and DCM-8. Finally, more weapon prototypes have entered the Quartermaster Collection, including the Axe, the first new melee weapon for the game.

In less positive news, Circuit Breakers has been delayed away from its original February release date. The game will now be released in mid-2017 for further improvements to the console versions. Another game that has been delayed is Sociable Soccer. Previously advertised for a Q1 2017 release, the game has now been shifted to a more general 2017 window. Unfortunately, the developer was expecting new recruits to join their team at the end of 2016, but this didn't happen and development hasn't progressed as quickly. More news is promised for later this month.

Finally, publisher SOEDESCO will be releasing the retail edition of Rogue Stormers on March 31st. You can check out a new gameplay video for the title below.

Trailers

The new gameplay trailer for Aaero showcases a variety of levels, enemies, gameplay action and some of the game's bosses. You'll be able to try the game for yourself this spring.

Brawlout recently held their first online tournament for beta players. The result is a video full of the tournament's highlights, showcasing over two minutes of gameplay footage.

In June, The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will allow players to return to the land of Morrowind. The first gameplay trailer showcases some of the expansion's locations, new enemies, weapons, armour and the new Warden class.

Easy Trigger Games' Huntdown has now entered pre-alpha. The developer has completely redesigned the graphics for the entire game, allowing new effects like debris and shrapnel from explosions and destructibles to be added. You can take a look at the latest build of the game in the new trailer that they made for GDC.

The Inner World will finally be released on consoles at the end of this month. Players will assume th role of Robert who sets off on an adventure to find out why the wind has disappeared. With the help of mysterious thief Laura and all the best intentions, will he be able to overcome his cluelessness and save the world?

The Other 99 is currently in Early Access on Steam and this week they added a list of fixes and gameplay changes to add more of a challenge to your fight for survival. This included a new starting area, better balancing, more interaction with the environment, new props, a reworked Survival Guide and reworked combat. You can see all of these improvements in action in the latest gameplay trailer. Of course, all of these features will be in the full version of the game when it is released this summer.

Snake Pass will be released at the end of this month for Xbox One and Windows 10. The game's first developer diary shows creator Seb Liese discussing how the game has progressed from its beginnings as a prototype for an internal game jam project through to its first demo at EGX Rezzed 2016.

Super Rude Bear Resurrection is a brutal platformer that will be coming to Xbox One in the future. The latest trailer showcases gameplay where players have to use their wits and reflexes to the limits. Alternatively, they can make things easier by dying and then using the corpses to overcome obstacles.

Meanwhile, the latest trailer for Tokyo 42 shows what happens when you decide to break the law and take on the might of the law.

The latest developer diary for We Happy Few shows off an early prototype of the game's toxic fog. This will make it much harder for players to move around outside during curfew. The fog features a lack of realization, therefore it looks really ugly, but the aim is to gather feedback from the community before the team spends ages polishing the feature.

The remake of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap has meant that the team needed to reverse engineer the original 1989 version of the game. However, they didn't forget about the original features and they've implemented a new Retro feature into the game. This means that players can switch between modern and retro graphics at the touch of a button. They can also switch between modern and retro music/sfx. If players want to mix and match the two, so retro graphics/modern music or modern graphics/retro music, they can do so. Even if you run the retro graphics, the improved refresh rate means that scrolling and physics are smoother. Finally, players will be able to use the in-game password system to load any of their old games from the Master System or Game Gear, or transfer their recent progress to the original consoles.

Screenshots

Every week, developer Undead Labs posts the Big Picture to demonstrate how State of Decay 2 is progressing. This week we have a really early piece of concept art from Stephen Schirle that was created in response to a couple of phrases that he had to illustrate. These were "Explore and Complete Missions" and "defeat a horde". He seemed to hit the nail on the head.

During the first part of 2017, all of the work on Tenebrae – Twilight of the Gods has focused on graphics. This weekend they revealed three new character designs. The first is an Undead Warrior, an enemy that will be able to dodge, parry and counterattack. Other Undead classes will be revealed later. The second is the wolf, one of the more common creatures and animals.

Developer LKA.it is faithfully recreating the Volterra Psychiatric Asylum as the main location for The Town of Light. Check out some original photos from the rundown and closed asylum and compare it to the in-game screenshots.
