ID@Xbox Releases: Week Beginning March 13th, 2017

By Rebecca Smith, 2 years ago
Another week, another five titles joining the ID@Xbox collection for 2017. There's a competitive puzzler, a casual point & click, a twin-stick shooter, a side-scrolling action-adventure and a space flight delivery action title (yes, really). We'll be streaming most of these titles on our Beam channel this week; check out our streaming schedule for more details. For more information on each title, check out the list below:

Death Squared

Release Date: Tuesday, March 14th

This multiplayer title encourages players NOT to kill each other. Instead, players must control different coloured bots that need to reach their own coloured exit withoyt killing any of the others. The levels are littered with traps that are triggered by specific actions — like hidden floor spikes, holocubes that are out to kill you, and lasers — but bots can respawn instantly if they meet with an untimely demise. Unfortunately that may also mean losing all progress in a level, so move wisely.

Blue-Collar Astronaut

Release Date: Friday, March 17th

In this "2D physics-based space flight" title, players must fly across space while delivering pizza and towing freight — doing anything to help pay off those crippling student loans. Of course, moving forward is easy, changing direction not so much, and stopping... well, it's not just as simple as applying the brakes. There are over 40 levels to play and several ways to complete them successfully. Practice makes perfect!

Dark Arcana: The Carnival

Release Date: Friday, March 17th

Artifex Mundi's latest title unusually arrives with no fanfare. Players assume the role of a female detective who is searching for a woman that vanished in the middle of a funfair, leaving her child behind. As you search for clues, you'll uncover a tragic love story and the unfortunate consequences of an evil pact. All evidence points towards an alternate world that exists behind a magic mirror, but do you dare enter?

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight

Release Date: Friday, March 17th

This title may well be the fourth in Bombservice's series of titles, but it's actually the prequel to all of those that have gone before. Players will explore a cursed land where evil is spreading, the dead are rising and corruption is the reigning force. The only person to still have hope is a priestess named Kaho. If she had an audience with the queen then the land could surely be saved, but time is running out and the nights are getting darker. The action-adventure title allows players to vanquish enemies with melee combos, items and spells. Variable difficulty settings allow players to choose an easy difficulty to let them appreciate the story, or a harder difficulty for those who relish a challenge.

Release Date: Friday, March 17th

This twin-stick shooter adds a twist to the proceedings with "tons" of loot from deceased enemies that allows players to customise their characters. Set in a rogue-lite futuristic world, body-less brains are tasked with destroying evil robots. They do this with the use of nuclear rocket launchers. However, the war won't end just by ridding the world of the vigilante robots; you need to defeat the master NeuroVoider too. Players can go it alone or bring three more friends along for the ride.

Will you be purchasing anything this week?
