ID@Xbox Releases: Week Beginning March 27th, 2017

The last couple of weeks have been fairly quiet on the ID@Xbox front; not so this week. The ten titles that will be available for download include a baseball game, an underwater fight for survival, a tale of two princesses' unconventional journey to school, a slithering platformer, an almighty air guitar battle, a bizarre detective tale, a four sided journey through the seasons, a boxing tycoon management game, an attempt to reclaim the Skykeeper village, and a point and click journey into the world of Asposia. Release Date: Tuesday, March 28th

Dr. Bailey was a scientist on a simple mission to collect samples from a contaminated area under the sea. Now he's a scientist struggling to survive after he lost communication with his colleagues and crashed his submarine into the sea floor. His oxygen is running low, his operations drone is acting suspiciously. All he can do is move further forward into dark unknown, through caverns and passageways, to find useful items, collect samples and locate oxygen canisters while he not only carries out his mission, but also works out the mystery of why his sub crashed.

Has-Been Heroes

Release Date: Tuesday, March 28th (NA); Tuesday, April 4th (EU/AU)

Frozenbyte's "rogue-like game of strategy and action" tells the story of three has-been heroes, a group of champions who once performed such heroic feats like rescuing a prince, fighting wars, slaying a dragon and... killing rats. With the kingdom at peace the heroes were no longer needed, until the King had one more extremely important quest for the trio. Now they must protect the King's twin princesses as they travel to Princess Academy. Combining real time and turn-based strategy mechanics players must use hundreds of random spells and items to defeat the many enemies that will likely disrupt that journey. Every run is different and the threat of permadeath is never too far away.

R.B.I. Baseball 17

Release Date: Tuesday, March 28th

The fourth instalment in the R.B.I. Baseball is arriving this week with relatively little fanfare. Far from a sim, the simple two button control system allows players to play a full nine-inning game in under 20 minutes. Play against the AI or local and online friends in 30 ballparks as one of the 30 MLB teams. Over 1000 players appear in the title with detailed attributes and players will be able to make use of advanced stat tracking, season game sims and roster updates as the season progresses.

Air Guitar Warrior for Kinect

Release Date: Wednesday, March 29th

Virtual Air Guitar's latest Kinect title asks players to perform the ultimate air guitar solo as they vanquish enemies on a quest to find a legendary sword guitar. As you journey to the top of the Temple of the Rock Gods, you'll need to defeat many giant bosses including Heavy Metal Zeus, use eight guitar weapons that each have five tactical fire modes, and make use of over 20 vehicles, including dinosaurs, sharks with lasers, tigers and jet-powered crocodiles.

Snake Pass

Release Date: Wednesday, March 29th

Noodle the serpent and hummingbird Noodle are on a journey up the mountain when they discover that the ancient gateways that connect the realms of Haven Tor have been depowered. The duo must find the missing keystones to power it back up, but it's not that easy to do when you can't run or jump. Instead, players need to think like a snake as they coil, climb, swim and slither their way through the game.

Thimbleweed Park

Release Date: Thursday, March 30th

A classic point-and-click adventure title by the creators of Maniac Mansion, players assume the role of two washed up detectives who must investigate a dead body that was found in the river on the outskirts of town. Once the location of an opulent hotel, vibrant business district and the largest pillow factory in the state, the world of Thimbleweed Park is dark and bizarre as it exists in the shadow of its former fortunes.

Four Sided Fantasy

Release Date: Friday, March 31st

Players must unite a man and a woman whose attempts to find each other across the four seasons have so far been unsuccessful. A blend of platformer and puzzle game, players must make their way through the levels using screen wrapping, where you leave one side of the screen and wrap around to the other side (think Pac-Man). Players can toggle the screen wrapping on and off to enble them to get past obstacles and reach their goal.

Punch Club

Release Date: Friday, March 31st

The protagonist watches as his father is murdered in front of him. If he's ever going to discover who ended his father's life, he needs to earn his Punch Club ranks by training hard, eating chicken and punching people in the face. This isn't just a beat 'em up, though; players must manage the boxing club, juggling friendships, recreational time, relationships and the potential for stardom. How you climb the ranks is up to you, but legitimately or shady, the goal is the same.

After a tragic accident, village chief Tangi spiralled into despair. Without his protection, the village faced many attacks from hostile spirits and they cause complete devastation. Awakened from his sorrow, now Tangi must reclaim his world and his life by conquering the demons and rebuilding Skykeeper village. As the village grows, Tangi acquires new attacks and skills that allow him to make short work of his enemiesin this 2D action platformer.

The Inner World

Release Date: Friday, March 31st

Asposia is a world that seemingly defies conventional physics. Surrounded by endless soil, the world is set in a hollow space that is ventilated through three big wind fountains. Robert is the last naive and cheerful novice of the last wind monastery, but his world is turned upside down when the fountains run dry and the WIndgods befall Asposia. Together with a mysterious thief, Laura, he must use his best intentions and overcome his cluelessness to solve the secret of the disappearing winds.

With this much choice, there's bound to be something that takes your fancy.
