Earlier in the week, we put live the new Multi-Genre system, which meant that we could finally finish the changes and improvements to the site leaderboards.
Those leaderboards are now live.
The New Site LeaderboardsThe full list of leaderboards can be found on Site Leaderboard Index, which is also linked from your Main Menu.
Main statistical leaderboardsLeaderboards have been created for all the main stats we track on the site, including TrueAchievement Score, GamerScore, Achievements Won, Completed Games, TrueAchievement Ratio, and many more.
We track everything!
Once you click through to the leaderboard, you will then see a header containing the key stats from it:
Filtering by platform, genre and your locationBelow the header is a row of buttons that allow to tailor the board to your requirements.
Clicking on the Leaderboard Settings button will give you a list of filtering options.
You can filter by platform, genre(s), region and area/country. Click Apply and you will see the filtered board, including a new header section with updated stats!
Tracking yourself on leaderboardsClicking on the Track my position button will start up a TA tracking bot that will keep track of your score and position on the leaderboard you have selected. These are also shown in the leaderboard section on your homepage, and are updated every day after the leaderboards are built:

You can choose to track any combination of the filters and stats.
Finding your position and sharing itIf you are on a particular board (so you have played some of the games and are in the relevant region if one is set), you can click the Find me button and we'll locate your position for you:
You can then click the green share icon to bring up the share panel:
From there you can share to your favourite social network in a single click!

We've created brand new leaderboards for ID @ Xbox games, Kinect Required games, and we've removed the XBLA platform (which we only created as a way to track on leaderboards) and moved those games into their own Xbox Live Arcade leaderboard.
Goals and MilestonesYou can create a gamer goal to reach a particular score or position on any of the leaderboards on the Create Goal page - we will of course keep track of your progress automatically!

Additional InformationIn order to create the new leaderboards, we have restructured the way they are defined, as well as simplifying the platforms and title types. We've removed the distinction between apps and games as apps are no longer being released with achievements. This has meant that even with the additional complexities of the new genre system, we are only building 5% more leaderboards than we were before.
We've also made big performance gains both in the building and displaying of these boards - they now take less than half the time to build (6 hours previously, now under 3 hours), and load 3 times faster.
We've also remapped the vast majority of the 70,000 tracking bots that had been set up under the old system to the new one - out of those 70,000 less than 200 (0.25%) do not exist under the new system. Which this will undoubtedly annoy the gamers with those trackers set up, we believe the speed improvements make that worth while.
