First Image of the Phantom Dust Remaster

By Kevin Tavore, 2 years ago
Phantom Dust has had a rocky road making its way to its Xbox One release. First announced as a reimagining of the cult classic, it's now moved to being a direct remaster of the original. In today's age, remasters are approached with skepticism but, considering the game was not widely played despite growing a dedicated fanbase, it seems a remaster might be just what the doctor ordered.

We don't know much about the remaster. In fact, before today we didn't know anything at all. But thanks to the latest Tweet from Xbox exec Phil Spencer, we have our first details. The game is currently running at 30fps and the aspect ratio is a proper 16:9 (the original was 4:3). You can see the image yourself below:

Phantom Dust is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 as part of the Play Anywhere program sometime this year.
