The Surge is Hacking and Slashing Limbs Away

You know that old saying, "You'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands?" Well I'm beginning to form a theory that in The Surge, that's meant to be taken far more literally than figuratively. As portrayed in Focus Home Interactive's newest video of the game, the world they've created seems very much to be a case of "what's yours is mine."

The Surge's combat focuses on targeting the individual limbs of your enemies. Perhaps you'll go after unprotected parts for easier kills. Or instead, maybe one of them has a shiny new component that you want, and you'll relieve them of it by brutally severing it off for loot. There are certainly many options to consider, and that's just part of the focus in the latest video released by the team. Other topics of discussion are the game's environment and figuring out the story of just what has happened in this world.

The Surge is slicing and dicing its way onto the Xbox One on May 16th.
