Xbox to Run Backwards Compatibility Super Sale Starting May 16th

By Kelly Packard,
You know how you always see those comments from Xbox users that say something like, "Microsoft should take all the backwards compatible titles and put them all on sale"? Well, as it turns out, they're going to be doing just that this upcoming week.

Major Nelson tweeted out an announcement of a "back compat super sale." Starting on Tuesday, May 16th, the sale will offer "up to 75% off on 275+ titles." Backwards compatible titles have been known to get a price hike — both physically and digitally — after entering the program, thanks to the increased demand, so hopefully the sale will give digital buyers a reason to be excited.

The ad was loaded with the most popular backwards compatible games like Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Skate 3.

As for the prices and the rest of the selection of games? And how about showing us some DLC sales too? We'll see next week.
