Xbox Game Pass Starts Today for Gold Members

What started by being an accidentally published trailer is now official. Xbox Game Pass launches today (May 24th) for Xbox Live Gold members and has a 14-day free trial with access to all the games. To access the free trial requires a payment method to be added if none exists, and will only charge the player after the 14 days have passed.

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that allows access to 100+ games for a price of £7.99/$9.99/€9.99/AUD10.95 per month. The games in the service are available to be bought for 20% less (in case you want to keep them after your subscription to the service ends) and DLC will be available with a 10% discount too (games on the list include the base game only) for as long as the game is in the catalogue. Games are downloaded to the console, not streamed, as mentioned on the original announcement.

Major Nelson also expressed the commitment to "add a new set of games to the catalogue so there is always something new to play across a diversity of experiences, genres, ratings and more".

Xbox Game Pass launches on June 1st for non-gold members and they too will have access to a 14-day free trial.
