was revealed today during the Ubisoft press conference, an upcoming movie slash game. The title is the result of a collaboration between Ubisoft and SpectreVision, a production company co-founded by Elijah Wood.
Inspired by research that measures brain waves during different emotions, Transference
is touted as a psychological thriller. It will be heavily making use of virtual reality technology, but will still be available on platforms that don't support VR. The title has an intriguing concept — the "destructive tale of a man’s obsession as you explore his digitally recreated memories."
In the game, players will interact with various members of a family. The choices players make when interacting with the various characters will impact the later events of the game.
Wood promises the game is both "haunting" and "beautiful" and believes Transference
will "really resonate with players, even after they’ve taken off their headset."
In addition to the above announcement trailer, a behind the scenes video was released to showcase how the unlikely collaboration came to be:
is coming to Xbox One in spring 2018.
We don't have them yet, but we'll publish a story as soon as we pick up the Transference achievements.
