Poker Smash Removed From Backwards Compatability, Possibly Delisted

By Kelly Packard,
It's normal for Xbox gamers to hear about titles being added to the backwards compatability program, but how about removed? Today Microsoft pulled match-three puzzler and poker game hybrid Poker Smash from the backwards compatability program. In fact, it appears to have been delisted completely.

Poker Smash

While the title is no longer playable on Xbox One via backwards compatability, it is still accessible from an Xbox 360 console. It seems those who don't already own it may be out of luck — as of this writing, it is no longer purchasable from the Xbox website or the Xbox 360 console Marketplace.

Those who purchased in-game content in Poker Smash since it became backwards compatible on March 16th, 2017 are eligible to receive refunds for any transactions, which should happen automatically. Players who "downloaded the game on Xbox One prior to the game being removed, and purchased Poker Smash or made in-game purchases while the game was available on Xbox One" will also be offered a compensatory copy of Hexic 2, another puzzle game in the backwards compatability program. Codes for Hexic 2 are being sent via Xbox Live messaging.

Poker Smash

For players who have any other questions regarding the Poker Smash removal, there is an FAQ about the situation over on the official Xbox website.
