The reveal of Need for Speed Payback
at last Saturday's EA Play conference was explosive. The game immediately drew comparisons to action movies like The Fast and the Furious
for good reason. And with the developer coming off a cinematic success with 2015's game, it seemed that might be just what the team was going for.
And, well, it was. Yesterday the lead designer sat down for an interview and he constantly stressed that the game was all about feeling like an action movie. So when you see cars wreck and when you blaze by at high speeds, you feel excited. Of course, he also promises the familiar Need for Speed
trappings like fast cars and deep customization have not been forgotten.
Need for Speed Payback
is coming on November 10th.
