Portal-like Indie ChromaGun Announced

By Kevin Tavore,
ChromaGun is a puzzle game where you use an experimental gun to solve puzzles in test rooms while a narrator comments on your progress with enthusiasm that doesn't quite cover up the fact that something malicious is obviously going on. Kind of like Portal 3 would have done, except perhaps even better. The game has already released on Steam where it has been strikingly well received, garnering a 9/10 user average across 51 reviews. The title is finally coming to consoles and now we can get in on the apparent fun.

The gameplay is simple enough. You use your gun to paint walls with the colors red, blue and yellow. Colored drones are then lured towards the walls based on the colors you paint them. Mixing colors is encouraged, meaning there are quite a few combinations you'll need to work through. This ultimately leads to complex puzzles that the developers hope will be a joy to solve. You can see the gameplay yourself in the Steam launch trailer below.

If you're interested in the Portal vibes, you can get even more of them in the trailer below.

ChromaGun is coming to Xbox One later this fall.
