Free Content and Double XP Weekend for Friday the 13th: The Game

By Will Cruz, 3 months ago
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Friday the 13th: The Game hasn’t exactly had the smoothest launch. The teams behind the game, Illfonic and Gun Media are aware of various bugs, multiplayer server issues and other concerns. They’ve released a handful of updates and are continuously patching the game. In order to apologize for such a rocky launch, they’ve decided to reward gamers with free in-game content.

“Content update #1” will reward players with two new outfits for new characters, 13,000 customization points and a retro Jason skin. In addition, they’ve announced a double XP weekend taking place from June 23th to June 25th. All content (including the XP weekend) are free and will be available on all consoles. If you want to see more of the incoming freebies, check out the trailer for the event below.

“Content update #1” will release on June 20th for consoles.

I love video games (even though I'm terrible at them all). I'm hoping one day I can make a difference. Not sure how I got to where I am but I'm proud I made it here. Add me.
